Paintball Frequently Asked Questions

  • Question: What should I wear and will the paint stain my clothes?
  • Answer: The paintballs are water soluble and non-toxic, but could stain certain kinds of fabric especially if it is not washed out shortly after playing. It’s a good idea to wear old, comfortable clothes and a good pair of running shoes or boots. Gloves are a good idea to protect your hands. We do have camo coveralls to rent for $ 2.00 and some thin gloves available at no charge.
  • Question: Can I bring my own paintballs with me?
  • Answer: No. Only paintballs purchased onsite on the day of play can be used. Off field paint or paint purchased previously for home use is not permitted at the field. This allows us control over the paintballs to ensure everyone has a fun, safe visit.
  • Question: Will it hurt if I get hit by a paintball?
  • Answer: It honestly depends on where you get hit. A paintball hit on exposed skin will sting and leave a mark or bruise that generally fades in a few days. Covering up any exposed skin will help to lessen the sting of being hit by a paintball. All markers used at HP-eh are also chronographed below 280fps.
  • Question: Can I just show up to play or do I need to come with a group?
  • Answer: Reservations are required on regular days.  You must have a minimum of 6 players for a group reservation. All groups of less than 10 players may be combined with other groups unless booked as PRIVATE at the time of reservation.  (Please see below for additional details on PRIVATE groups ).  If you have less than 6 players, you can give us a call or check our Facebook page as we will always post when we have an "open" group ( walk-ons welcome) booked at the field.  You can also come to our Thursday night "cheap paint nights".. these are great times to just show up as there's always a good number of players here.  Please contact us for more information on  group reservations or for any special circumstances.

  • Question: How old do I have to be to play paintball?
  • Answer: You need to be 10 years of age or older to play paintball. Players between 10-18 must have their waver signed by a parent/guardian. You can download a waiver from the website to have signed by your parent/guardian before coming to the field.
  • Question: Do you accept credit cards?
  • Answer: Yes. We accept all major credit cards, cash & debit.
  • Question: Do you play in the rain or snow?
  • Answer: Yes… we play whether it is raining or snowing! If the referee sees lightning or hears thunder, he will pull the team off the field for their safety until the storm passes. Only laser paintball is unavailable in heavy rain.
  • Question: How much is it going to cost me to play for a day?
  • Answer: Really, it all depends on how 'trigger happy' you are! Most fields find, on average, renters will shoot between 300-500 paintballs per day. So, an average day will cost a player between $ 40 - $ 60.
  • Question: Can I make a reservation for a 'private' group?
  • Answer: Absolutely. If you make a reservation for a 'group', that means that any other player that happens to come to the field can join your group. Having a 'private' group, means that no other players can join your group and you are assigned a referee specifically to your group for your stay.  There is a small additional fee of $ 10 per player for private groups as a seperate referee must be hired to host your private group.  Please contact us for more information on group bookings or for any special circumstances.
  • Private groups must be reserved 7 days in advance and require an additional $10 per person deposit with the $100 non-refundable deposit.
