Safety is our number one concern at HP-eh Paintball. A question a lot of people ask is in fact, "Is paintball safe?". There have been studies done by insurance companies and hospitals, showing that paintball is one of the safest sports. A study published in 2001 stated that the number of injuries yearly per 1000 participants in paintball was .24. That's less than 1 in 4000 players!
Every group or player that comes to our field is assigned a referee for their stay. Our referees are fully trained to know and understand the rules of play at the field and are here to ensure that the players are following those rules. Before any player is allowed on our fields, the rules of play are explained to them in detail. Players will be given warnings if rules are not followed and if players refuse to follow the safety rules, they will be asked to leave the game for their safety & the safety of the other players.
The two most important rules in paintball are to keep your goggles on at all times while in the playing field and to keep your barrel cover on your marker when you are off of the playing field. When the safety rules are followed, paintball is an extremely safe sport.
